Welcome to Huron station playhouse…

When you step into Huron Station Playhouse, the first thing you see are our House Values posted in our doorway:

Huron Station Playhouse is a newly established nonprofit theater organization located in the Cypress Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. Housed in the state-registered historic landmark Huron Substation, a 1906 trolley substation, the Playhouse was founded to bring bold, contemporary, and craft-driven theater to an intimate, community-based setting that prioritizes human connection and exceptional performance.

Led by Artistic Director Alden Ehrenreich, and Executive Director Matthew Sonnenfeld, the organization blends the heritage of American regional theater with contemporary artistic sensibilities, championing new voices while elevating the discipline of acting and storytelling.

In an era increasingly dominated by digital experiences, HSP offers a vital in-person artistic home. One where audiences and artists gather to experience the immediacy, vulnerability, and shared humanity that live performance yields.

Huron Station Playhouse is hard at work as we transition from early programming toward our inaugural season of full-scale theatrical productions in the year ahead.
