JULIE COHN

MANAGING DIRECTOR & BOARD TREASURER

Julie Cohn is a writer and theater producer with experience both on and "Off" Broadway. She won the 2024 Tony Award for Best New Play for her work on Stereophonic, received Tony nominations for her work on Suffs and Cabaret, and a Drama Desk nomination for her work on the 2023 Off-Broadway revival of Uncle Vanya. She is passionate about artistic collaboration, creative production, and the electricity of live theater.

Lizz Hudson Smith

BUILDING DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Lizz discovered her love for creating community focused spaces while while working as GM for Stumptown Coffee Roasters. During that time she had the opportunity to expand Stumptown’s Operations from Portland, Oregon to Seattle, Washington and New York. Now, Lizz works professionally as a design consultant and construction project manager, working with clients from concept development to completed construction.

Alden Ehrenreich

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR & BOARD PRESIDENT

Alden Ehrenreich has quickly become one of the most sought-after actors of his generation and has worked with some of the foremost directors in Hollywood including Christopher Nolan, Francis Ford Coppola, Ron Howard, the Coen Brothers, and Sofia Coppola. He founded and ran THE COLLECTION, an actor-centric theater collective hosting over 40 members from 2009-2013. He wrote, directed, and starred in SHADOW BROTHER SUNDAY which premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival.

Dave Thrasher

EVENTS & RENTAL MANAGER

Dave brings decades of hospitality experience to Huron Substation. Noteworthy projects include the opening of Quantum, Santa Monica’s cutting edge digital art gallery, re-opening the 100 year old speak easy, Dreamaway Lodge, in the Berkshires woods, and running the best neighborhood music venue in Brooklyn, Pete’s Candy Store for over 20 years.

Ben Kram

BOARD SECRETARY

Ben Kram is an executive at William Morris Endeavor Agency and an entertainment lawyer with almost a decade of broad-based commercial and litigation experience representing and protecting artists. He served for two years as an elected Board Member and Treasurer of the Mid-City West Neighborhood Council, where he helped oversee the Neighborhood Purpose Grant program to provide funding for local nonprofits.

Emma Flannery

Theater Operations Manager

Emma, a writer and actor originally from Chicago, has trained and worked with theaters including The Goodman Theatre, Writers Theatre, and The Globe Theatre. They studied Drama and English Literature at Washington University in Saint Louis, with additional studies at The Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. After working as a PA on “Justified” and “The Morning Show,” Emma is thrilled to be back supporting the collaborative, dynamic world of live theater with the Huron team!
