Alden Ehrenreich
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR & BOARD PRESIDENT
Alden Ehrenreich has quickly become one of the most sought-after actors of his generation and has worked with some of the foremost directors in Hollywood including Christopher Nolan, Francis Ford Coppola, Ron Howard, the Coen Brothers, and Sofia Coppola. He founded and ran THE COLLECTION, an actor-centric theater collective hosting over 40 members from 2009-2013. He wrote, directed, and starred in SHADOW BROTHER SUNDAY which premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival.
Matthew Sonnenfeld
Executive DIRECTOR
Before joining Huron Station Playhouse, Matthew Sonnenfeld served as Director of Special Projects and Interim General Manager at Goodspeed Musicals, where he led capital improvement initiatives and contributed to institutional planning and financial operations. As a strategic planning consultant, Matthew worked with the American Repertory Theater and Seattle Rep, where he also served as a Yale Fellow. He served as Associate Managing Director of the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale and as Managing Director of Yale Cabaret. Matthew holds an MFA in Theater Management from the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale.
EMMA FLANNERY
General Manager
Emma began their journey with Huron as Alden Ehrenreich’s assistant, and has been honored to support the company’s growth from its earliest days. Previously, Emma worked as a production assistant on FX’s Justified and Apple TV’s The Morning Show. In addition to their work at Huron, Emma is a writer, dramaturge, and actor who has trained with theaters including Goodman Theatre, Writers Theatre, and Shakespeare’s Globe. They hold BAs in Drama and English Literature from Washington University in St. Louis, and a screenwriting certificate from The Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.
DAVE THRASHER
EVENTS & Community Outreach Manager
Dave brings decades of hospitality experience to Huron Substation. Noteworthy projects include the opening of Quantum, Santa Monica’s cutting edge digital art gallery, re-opening the 100 year old speak easy, Dreamaway Lodge, in the Berkshires woods, and running the best neighborhood music venue in Brooklyn, Pete’s Candy Store. In addition to his work at Huron, Dave is Founder and Artistic Director of time + space, a non-profit art space in Chinatown committed to supporting artists working in live forms.
JULIE COHN
Founding Partner & BOARD TREASURER
Julie Cohn is a writer and theater producer with experience both on and "Off" Broadway. She is a Drama Desk Award winner, a four-time Tony nominee (Suffs, Stereophonic, Cabaret, John Proctor is the Villain) and winner of the Tony Award for Best New Play for her work co-producing Stereophonic. She is passionate about artistic collaboration, creative production, and the electricity of live theater.
Ben Kram
BOARD SECRETARY
Ben Kram is an executive at William Morris Endeavor Agency and an entertainment lawyer with almost a decade of broad-based commercial and litigation experience representing and protecting artists. He served for two years as an elected Board Member and Treasurer of the Mid-City West Neighborhood Council, where he helped oversee the Neighborhood Purpose Grant program to provide funding for local nonprofits.
